Research On The Historical Issues Dolunnuur Monastery In Qing Dynasty

Dolunnuur Monastery was established at the beginning of Qing dynasty and declined at the late Qing. The rise and fall of this monastery has very close relationship with Qing policy to Mongols. There are lots of causes for the monastery’s changes, mainly are political interests. At the same time, people should recognize that the management system of Lama’ s administration, social instability and financial difficulties in Mongolian area are also playing a very important role in the process.This article based on the Mongolian and Chinese sources and some local archives including Archives of Ongnigud Right Banner Government Office, discussed the social changes of Dolunnur monastery and related issues including the historical background of establishment, economy of monastery, Jasag Dalama who is the head monk of the banner and his stamp-managementbureau(Yin Wu Chu in Chinese), alternation and revocation of the StampManagement-bureau, monks who were sent by some Mongolian banners to Dolunnuur Monastery and their financial situation etc. this article was composed of preface, main text, summary and references.In the preface of article, Author mainly talked about the significance of the subject, research summary, historical sources, methodology, and innovation points of the research and the structure of article.The main text was consisted of three parts. In the first part, author discussed the background of monastery establishment, process and size, and the economic level; in the second part, author argued systematically some related points, for example, establishment and administrative system of Dolunnuur Stamp-management-bureau, alternation of Jasag Dalama who controlling real power of the banner and the effects of Stamp-management-bureau; at the same time, author based on the local archives made some correction to the related Chinese sources.in the last part, author argued the financial problem of monks who sent by all Mongolian banner governments to Dolunnuur Monastery. In the conclusion, based on the discussion in the text, author made a summary about the historical development of Dolunnuur monastery and some related questions.
