The civil Yang-wu enterprises, which were set up with"in search of wealth"as their slogan in late Qing Dynasty, modeled their management on capitalist enterprises'in modern times. There were some differences between each other in the learning of the West, because the main manager's ability and the times who lived in were different. In this thesis, the writer makes a systems analysis about the enterprise management of Han-yang Steel Factory in its initial stage from the following aspects: organizational management, assets management, production and marketing management, and has a researching about Shang-hai Mechanical Textile Bureau in correlative aspects. The full text is mainly divided into five parts:Partâ… : It analyzes the organizational structure and the structure's changing of the early Han-yang Steel Factory. Firstly, the author compares Chang Chih-tung's market orientation with Li Hong-zhang's by respectively showing up the origination causation of Han-yang Steel Factory and Shang-hai Mechanical Textile Bureau, trying to search the reason why the Textile Bureau got profit sooner after its equipment was used than the Steel Factory. Secondly, the author defines the organizational structure that Han-yang Steel Factory adopted, and expatiates the Steel Factory's imperfection by analyzing the qualification that this structure should be have but the Steel Factory didn't possess. Thirdly, the author researches into the evolvement of the structure of Han-yang Steel Factory, finding out its progression and insufficient.Partâ…¡: It chiefly talks about the control of the interior staff and the problem of the admeasurement between responsibility and power of Han-yang Steel Factory. First, the writer makes a specific analysis about the redundancy and recruitment system of Han-yang Steel Factory in employing interior staff, and contrasts the differences of employment idea between Chang Chih-tung and Li Hong-zhang, searching for their gain and loss. Second, the writer probes into the problem of power-responsibility that existed in Han-yang Steel Factory.Partâ…¢: It mainly discusses the management of Han-yang Steel Factory in existing stock and fixed assets. First, from the sides of the cost of inventory and stock managerial system, the author unveils the problem which existed in Han-yang Steel Factory's management in stock, and shows us the loss to be caused, and the remedial measures to be taken else. Second, the author mainly show us the real face how fixed assets was to be used, maintained and rebuilded.Partâ…£: It mainly makes a study of the production management and the sales management of Han-yang Steel Factory in its early stage. First, the writer unveils the management of labor organization and production organization at that time. Second, the writer opens out the defect that existed in the Steel Factory's product, looking for the influencing factors. Third, by analyzing the different merchandise planning between Chang Chih-tung and Sheng hsuan-huai, the author expounds the evolvement of the sales management which had had positive influence upon Han-yang Steel Factory.Partâ…¤: It chiefly makes a comparative analysis between Han-yang Steel Factory and Shang-hai Mechanical Textile Bureau about the management of monetary capital and the introduction of fixed assets. Firstly, the author finds out the success and failure in using of monetary capital and its influence in the two factories. Secondly, the author analyzes the success and failure of the two works in factory building on their own locality choosing, constrution, arrangement, and in equipment on each applicability, matching, scale and so on.In short, by dissecting Han-yang Steel Factory and Shang-hai Mechanical Textile Bureau , the thesis reveals the general characteristic on enterprise management of the civil Yang-wu enterprise, and the particularity that belongs to the two enterprises themselves. At last, the author hopes that we can take warning from what we learn from the thesis.
