A Study Of The Disyllabic "X Fou" Structure In Modern Chinese

The thesis selects disyllabic "X fou"structure in Modern Chinese as the object of study on the basis of Mr’Xing Fuyi’s theory of Clausal PivotThe research method is Xing Fuyi’s "Two triangles".This article makes a mutti-angle analysis in the structure,semantic features and pragmatic functions.This thesis consists of five chapters:Chapter one is the introduction, it reviews the research object and the status of "X fou",it gives a brief introduction of the methods and the corpus sources of the study.Chapter two discusses the syntactic feature of disyllabic "X fou"structure, respectively to investigate the characteristics of the "X","X fou" alone, "X fou"single sentence, "X fou"clause, "X fou" minior sentences in succession,and analyze their types of tone.Chapter three discusses the semantic features of disyllabic "X fou"structure which means uncertainty and both sides includes positive and negative.And analyze the semantic features of "X fou" Positive-negative Questions and the "X fou" narrative sentences.Chapter four discusses the language value of disyllabic "X fou"structure from three aspects:formal term、humourous and funny and expressing economically. Then compare the commons and differences of X fou"and "X yu fou"、"X bu X"from the angle of syntactic feature、semantic feature and language value.Chapter five is the summary of this study,summarize the content and put forward the deficiency of this article.
