In information age, the advances of technological have emerged more and more media tools especially the internet products, including computer, smart phone. Popular media tools and internet have make media usage behavior changed in college students. Media multitasking behavior is particularly significant. There have many foreign media research which discussed the influence on cognitive performance of this popular behavior, but there is not yet a unified conclusion. We divided the central execution system into three sub-functions:shifting, inhibition, updating. In this study, three experiments were conducted to measure these three sub-functions in college students with high and low media multitasking index, to discuss their difference in different sub-functions.and to import theory guide to cognitive tasks which focus on different function. Firstly, using the "media using questionnaire"(Ophir, 2009) to understand the domestic media multitasking behavior of college student.300 questionnaires were conducted and returned 284 valid questionnaires. There have picked 20 high MMI students and 20 low MMI students. In formal Study, Three independent t-test experiment result showed that the level of media multitasking in the shifting capability is not significant (t=0.561, p=0.458), in the inhibition capability is not significant (t=3.268, p=0.079), in the updating capability is significant (t=10.662, p=0.002)Experimental results show that the media multitasking behaviors has different influence on in different cognitive tasks. Media multitasking behavior has no influence on shifting, has a little influence on inhibition, and has an obvious influence on shifting. Finally, the innovation of this study are summarized as well as various deficiencies, provide ideas for further research. High media multitasking behavior are good at updating the information. At the end, import the ecologic and situational method in the future.
