Topic-comment construction, as a very special sentence in Chinese, is quite important and difficult for foreign students. However, authorized Chinese teaching syllabus and Chinese textbooks can not reach an agreement and have a lot of problems in the name, the classification, the order of topic-comment construction and so on. As a result, this thesis try to classify topic-comment construction into 5 categories and try to find out the the acquisition order of them based on current research. Besides, try to give suggestions to Chinese textbooks on topic-comment construction teaching. The study leads us to two findings as follows. First, the acquisition order of topic-comment construction maybe:Sentence 1> Sentence 2 Al > Sentence 2 A2> Sentence 3> Sentence 4> Sentence 5. Second,the suggestions to textbooks can be:(1) Level 1:①Sentence 1 ②Sentence 3 (2) Level 2: ①Sentence 2 Al②Sentence 2 A2③ Sentence 4 (3) Level 3:Sentence 5.This thesis consists of 4 chapters.The first chapter introduces the main purpose, the value and the methods of the research,and reviews some relative research about topic-comment construction.In chapter 2, the author discuss the name and classification and try to find out the the acquisition order of topic-comment construction based on current research.In chapter 3, the author analyzes the language points concerning topic-comment construction in Chinese teaching syllabus and five sets of Chinese textbooks, including the name, the classification, the order of topic-comment construction and so on.In chapter 4, the author try to bring topic-comment construction into teaching Chinese as a foreign language and give suggestions to Chinese textbooks on topic-comment construction teaching.Finally, the author sum up the thesis and states shortages of this thesis.
