There is an old Chinese saying: people will be able to rely on food to survive, and the food quality and safety must first of all. As China’s food safety incidents occurred frequently, the consumer awareness of food safety and quality is significantly improved, while in order to adapt to the development of society and their own prospect, enterprises also pay more and more attention to the construction of enterprise ethics.Enterprises are the premise of ensuring food safety. Our country has formulated lots of relevant laws and regulations to govern the enterprises’ behavior, but the cause of food safety accidents is complex. So it is important to discuss the reason caused by the ethical anomie from the source. That’s means to improve the enterprise ethics is not only for satisfying the development of the enterprise itself, but also for improving and meeting the needs of the food safety.The appearance of the food safety problem comes from the negative effect caused by the enterprise’s failure management. Food safety incidents like Shuang hui clenbuterol, Guan sheng yuan bad fillings, Shanghai Fuxi bad meat, the cadmium rice from Hunan, poisonous green tea from Lipton and so on are all caused by management behavior anomie. So it is significant to reiterate the importance of enterprises’ ethics which is mainly caused by the moral decline of the enterprise.Food safety is the value of enterprise ethics. On one hand, it is the basic requirements of public health ethics. On the other hand, it provides ethical values to guide enterprises behavior. Enterprise ethics is also important for the enterprise development. It can constraint corporate behavior, unite the enterprise internal and external force and enhance the enterprise the competitive ability.Therefore, if an enterprise wants to develop fast with quality, it should be on the theory of the ethical and moral basis. What’s more it also should see the contract theory as a foundation, the deontology as a starting point and follow the ethical principles of deontology. Under the perspective of food safety, the enterprise ethics anomie behaviors main contain the lack of internal moral conscience from entrepreneurs and employees and the absence of external moral responsibility from the government and society. The cause of the enterprise ethics anomie are the weakness of enterprise ethics consciousness, the lack of moral responsibility of the enterprise and the absence of transparency in the food safety supervision system, which are driven by economic interests.So it is urgent to improve the enterprise ethics for promoting the problem of food safety. What we should do contains making enterprise abide by the principle of good faith, fair principle, do not harm principle, and take the responsible for consumers and stakeholders; enhancing the enterprise self-discipline to strengthen the enterprise ethics consciousness; building the enterprise ethics department to set up the system of building enterprise ethics; perfecting the heteronomy of external environment to improve the social supervision and strengthen the moral constraints; completing the government’s regulatory role to ensure food safety management; Strengthen education to enhance consumer consciousness of rights safeguarding; improving the food safety law system in our country ect.
