The Protection And Development Of The Cultural Landscape In Shenao Town

Affected by the modern science, technology, business and lifestyle, the urbanization process of historic village has brought not only development opportunities, but also the stress of keeping the original real style.“The Chinese New Urbanization State Plan(2014-2020)” proposed “Promoting the combination of functional upgrading and antiquarian preservation”, “Reinforcing the integrated preservation of archaic villages, historic streets, cultural resources and cultural ecology”, “preserving the urban culture memory, stimulating local culture development” and other requirements. The cultural landscape, as an emerging theoretical heritage, turns protection thought from focusing on the past to a creative idea that both connecting with the past and facing to the future. The system accords with the culture heritage protection standard of Chinese new urbanization state plan, which requires sustainable development, integral authenticity, activity inheritance and people oriented.Based on this theory and realistic background, this paper selects Shenao ancient town in Zhejiang province as the research object. The research manages to explore the traditional constitution, current situation, changing factors and vicissitude trends of cultural landscape in Shenao town with the methods of literature analysis, field survey, analytic induction, graphical analysis and dynamic development. Furthermore, by analyzing the future problems in protection and development to explore realistic feasible methods, experiences and references to other ancient villages can be provided throughout the research.
