Teaching Research Of Modern And Contemporary Literary Works In Advanced Stage Of Comprehensive Course Of Chinese For Foreigners

Literary work is the essence and integral part of Chinese culture. It is of great significance to introduce literary works teaching into the process of teaching foreigners Chinese. With the close link between their content and the current daily life, modern and contemporary literary works are the crystallization of contemporary Chinese culture. When students reach a higher level of Chinese language, they can perceive contemporary Chinese cultural knowledge and improve reading ability through the learning of modern and contemporary literary works. Therefore, they can better blend themselves into Chinese cultural context, so as to improve communication skills of Chinese language. Taking a large number of the modern and contemporary works, characterized with cultural and literary sense, from textbook series named Boya Chinese (advanced, flying part) as examples, this paper attempts to explore the teaching mode of literary works in integrated courses in the advanced stage of foreigners’learning of Chinese language.This paper is mainly divided into four parts. The first part respectively sets forth four sections, namely, the reason and significance of the selected topic, research status and development trend, purpose and significance of the research, and research methods. Part two is culture teaching and comprehensive course teaching, which can be divided mainly into three sections, namely, the overview of culture teaching, the overview of comprehensive course teaching, and teaching tasks and models of comprehensive course teaching in the advanced stage. The third part is the teaching of literary works in teaching foreigners Chinese, which is also divided into three sections, namely, the overview of literary works teaching in teaching foreigners Chinese, characteristics of literary works teaching, and the literary works teaching in comprehensive course of Chinese for foreigners. Part four is an important part of this paper, which are totally divided into six sections, namely, selection principles of contemporary literary works in comprehensive course, literary works teaching in the advanced stage of comprehensive course teaching, brief introduction of Boya Chinese (advanced, flying part), brief introduction and difficulty statistics of literary works in Boya Chinese (advanced, flying part), statistical analysis of main contents of literary works in Boya Chinese (advanced, flying part), and the last section is case study. In the last section the paper reproduces teaching processes in literary works teaching, students’ reaction in the class and the author’s teaching reflection with reference to the author’s literary works teaching experience in International Education Faculty of Guangxi University.
