The Multi-angle Investigation On Modal Adverb "Haihao"

This thesis chooses the adverb "Haihao (还好) " as the study object from th e perspective of synchronic and diachronic.Chapter One, the exordium, introduce the brief introduction of the research c ontent, survery of predecessors’reaearches, the therotical and practical significance s and the realted corpus. Since the studies of the word "Haihao (还好) " are di fferent and slight, it is necessary to make multi-angle analysis on it.Chapter Two studies the the characteristic and the syntactic position of the w ord "Haihao (还好) ". Since there are few studies on it and the study of the cha racteristic is not unified, we regard it as a modal adverb on the basis of corpu s andpredecessors’reaearches. This thesis also analyses the the syntactic position, the syntactic function and the sentence distribution, the syntactic position is flexibl e and also explains reason of the different distribution.Chapter Three studies the semantic level of the modal adverb "Haihao (还 好) ". It summurizes the basic semantic features of the adverb according to the s amples. Then analyses the semantic model of the adverb "Haihao (还好) " and summarizes the model into two main patternsrcomplete pattern and omit pattern.Chapter Four analyses the various discourse coherence ways and the pragmati c founcations of "Haihao (还好)", then summarises the main types of these two. It also concludes that the displacement may causes the change of the founcation on subjective degree, the jurisdiction of its scope and the focus.Chapter Five studies the meaning and the syntactic of the modal adverb "Hai hao (还好) " from the angel of lexicalization. It discusses the causes and the me chanisms of the grammarticalization of the word and the use of modal adverb is related to the meaning, structure form, cognitive psychology and the degree of su bjective.Chapter Six draws a conclusion of the thesis and point out what the thesis 1 acks.
