With the recovery and development of the global economy, hotel, as one of the fastest growing industries in service industry,is facing increasing pressure to study and apply revenue management.Because a significant gap between our study and application of management theories and the developed world`s still exists, it is imperative to introduce the more advanced theories. In addition, translation quality of related texts will also influence hotel management and performance measurement. Therefore, we should use translation techniques in order to attain the best translation result.This article aims to study the original English teaching materials about hotel management. Because of the structural differences between the English and the Chinese languages, such as the use of clauses, it is unavoidable to restructure certain sentences. This article starts with the content and preparation steps of this translation exercise and will focus on categorizing sentences to nominal clauses, attributive clauses, and adverbial clauses. Each category will then be restructured in conjunction with the specific examples of this translation exercise. Specifically, translating nominal clauses will utilize Sequence Translation, Division; attributive clauses will utilize Fronting, translate into coordinate clauses; and adverbial clauses will utilize sequence translation and Fronting. In the end, the article will summarize the entire translation exercise along three aspects: translation preparation steps, utilization of translation techniques, and the importance of revisions and edits.
