A Practice Report On The Application Of Sentence Group Integration And Separation In Chinese Translation Of International Business Environments And Operation

Along with the frequency of the exchange and cooperation in international higher education, English business-related textbooks are widely used in China. This translation practice chooses International Business Environments and Operations as the translated text, which is the English textbook of international business with the exploration of the principles and the analysis of the case studies in international business environment and operation as its professional and academic features. The writer’s translation is the part of chapter 2.At the stage of the preparation before the translation, the analysis of the characteristics of the text has been dong through searching the related literatures; during the translation, integration and division has been applied in the revised translation to solve the problems of complex sentence groups found in the initial translation; through the analysis of the cases, the effectiveness of integration and division for the translation of complex sentence groups by comparison of the initial and revised translation.The translation practice shows that the application of integration and division for sentence group translation can make the translated text to be more of accuracy and smooth; the translation of complex sentence groups cannot be imprisoned within the patterns of the source text, but to apply properly the integration and division to make the translated texts be accorded with expressive habits of the target language.The translation practice has gained the experience for the translation of complex sentence group, has exercised the ability of skills of translation practice.
