Textual Research Of Wares Recorded In The Literature Tao Ji

Song-Yuan period is an important stage in the history of Jingdezhen ceramics development. In this time, the Qingbai Porcelain, one of the products from Jingdezhen kiln, winning the reputation of "Raoyu", this kind of porcelain was very rich in varieties, and the decorating were exquisite, it became the largest and have the most impact of all the porcelains from that time. The closely related book "Taoji",is the earliest ceramic industry monograph in China, even in the whole world. The ceramics system, the division of labour, the social custom,the technology and category of porcelain making were involved. It’s rich in meaning and with plain and flowing writing style. "Taoji" is the most comprehensive and impressive article about Jingdezhen ceramic industry. Because of these, researching "Taoji" written by Jiangqi, have important implications for the history of Jingdezhen ceramics development in Song-Yuan period.
