Five-character Pattern of Three-Rhythm Poem(五言三韵诗)is a particular kind of poems,the paper which centre on the study of the style of poetry will mainly talk about the origin,the stereotypy,the development and the structure of Five-character Pattern of Three-Rhythm Poem collected from The Complete Poetry of the Tang(《全唐诗》)and The Supplement of the Complete Poetry of the Tang(《全唐诗补编》).The paper is divided into three chapters.The first part will centre on the origin of the style of the poetry.This part considers that the Five-character Pattern of the Ancient Three-Rhythm Poem(五言三韵古体)was derived from proverbs according the pectination of the Five-character Pattern of Three-Rhythm Poem which were created before the Tang Dynasty.It became an independent style of poetry after the civilian’s absorption form the proverbs.While the Five-character Pattern of Three-Rhythm Lvshi(五言三韵律体)is a kind of Modern-style Poetry(新体诗)formed in the period of the Qi Dynasty and Liang Dynasty.It shows the close relationship compared with Gongtishi(宫体诗)in the field of rhythm and subject.The second part will centre on the stereotypy and development of the style of poetry.For the Five-character Pattern of the Ancient Three-Rhythm Poem,Chen Zi’ang(陈子昂)established its basic character in terms of language,antithesis,structure in Tang Dynasty under the background of the popular of the Qi and Liang Poetry.For the Five-character Pattern of Three-Rhythm Lvshi,it was first formed in the Glorious age of Tang Dynasty through the analysis of the theory of rhythm and the reality of creation in the early Tang Dynasty.The critical factor which contribute to the shaping of the style except the theory of rhythm is the need that the poetry should be put into music.For the different development path of the two shaped styles,this part will talk about the process of mixing and separation between the two styles,the Five-character Pattern of the Ancient Three-Rhythm Poem of the Middle and Late Tang Dynasty came closer to the Lvshi(律诗)in terms of language,antithesis,structure.But at the same time,some poets such as Meng Jiao(孟郊)and Cao Ye(曹邺)can keep the prototype of the Five-character Pattern of the Ancient Three-Rhythm Poem by means of studying from Han Yuefu(汉乐府).The third part will centre on the structure of the style of poetry. This part talks about the difference of the structure of the Five-character Pattern of the Ancient Three-Rhythm Poem and the Five-character Pattern of Three-Rhythm Lvshi and has come to a conclusion that the structure of former can create an artistic conception which is implicit and the structure of later may cause some problems such as the disharmony of the rhythm and the crack of the poetic meaning, and because of the shortage, the creation of the Five-character Pattern of Three-Rhythm Lvshi didn’t reach a high level in Tang Dynasty.In the part of conclusion, the author will summary and promote the main ideas, and point out the shortcomings of this paper.
