The Creation Of Historical District To The Study On The Practice

As an important place of cultural heritage, the cultural preservation of the historic district has gaining more and more attention these days. Reforming the historic district by modern public art means is a kind of protection and advocacy of the city`s history and culture, since it achieve the goal of format restructuring of the historic district, and thereby promoting the sustainable development in urban neighborhoods. As a result, the public art has been further developed during the reforming process of the historic district, and the multiple interactive brought by the public art makes the historic district enable to display the characteristics of the history and culture more comprehensive, therefore enhance the influence of the regional culture.This paper has three parts. First, the current situation of the public art reform of the historic district; second, the motivation and the reason analysis of the involvement of public art in historic district; third, the creation analysis on Chengdu " The Nine Walls of Broad and Narrow Alley ", and the prospect of the historic district reform by public art. This article analyze the public art creation of " The Nine Walls of Broad and Narrow Alley " in microscopic perspective, summarize the relationship between multiple interactive public art creation and the historic district through resolving the process of early research, creative ideas and manufacture. For the process for reforming the historic district by public art, the goal of this paper if to sum up the advantages and problems that exist, find the position for the public art, explore it`s possibility and the further potential, and finally discuss the development direction in the future.
