The Investigation And Protection Of Gansu Province "Lanzhou Carved Gourd" Art Heritage

The Lanzhou carved gourd is also called the auspicious gourd in Lanzhou,the Lanzhou microscopic carving gourd and it belongs to a kind of sculpture art, originated in the wei-jin period, thrivied in the Guangxu emperor of Qing dynasty. Although each kind of gourd can be used for carving, lanzhou carved gourd art the most with local characteristics for use in specialty egg gourd gourd carving and a knot in one’s work. With the most local characteristics of Lanzhou carved gourd art,which is specialty in Lanzhou gourd eggs and Geda gourd sculptures.After Li Wenzhai, WangDeshan, Ruan Guangyu, Ruan Wenhui, Ruan Lin and many other artists of unremitting efforts, now the Lanzhou carved gourd skill is more exquisite. In2006,government made the skill of Lanzhou carved gourd art incorporated into "Gansu province,the first batch of provincial intangible cultural heritage list" to vigorously protect.But that doesn’t mean the development of the skill of Lanzhou carved gourd is going smoothly. In field work, I found that in Lanzhou carved gourd in the industry, both inheritance situation and protect the situation is not optimistic. This is exactly the research main points of this paper.The difficulty things of inheriting was lack of successor. Protection situation is not optimistic because of lack of market, the artists of poor living conditions and intellectual property rights can not get protection, the development of the industry is not forms in sale,and lack of innovation talents, etc. Many reasons caused the development in Lanzhou carved gourd of the industry downturn situation.This article is divided into five chapters, in addition to the introduction of the first chapter, on the basis of chapter 2 and 3 Clifford, who’s cultural interpretation theory of Lanzhou carved gourd gourd culture and art production process for deep description, the fourth and the fifth chapter starting from the perspective of the protection of heritage, by using the method of fieldwork in Lanzhou carved gourd art heritage and conservation status of study. In order to make contributions to the development of Lanzhou carved gourd industry.
