The purpose of this study is to realize the psychological maltreatment and neglected current situation of the students in junior middle schools and to discuss the relationship between psychological maltreatment and neglect, resilience and depression. Adopting Child Psychological Abuse and Neglect Scale, the Resilience Scale for Chinese Adolescent and Center for Epidemiological Survey Depression Scale to survey 1113 junior middle school students. The results are as follows:1. There was a significant main effect of psychological maltreatment in such factors of family location and gender. Its specific performances were: the score of the students from town was lower than that of the students from village, and the score of the students from village was lower than that of the students from city; the score of girls was lower than that of boys. Neglect had remarkable main effect in house location, gender and grade, indicating as: the score of the students from city was lower than that of the students from town, and the score of the students from town was lower than that of the students from village; the score of girls was lower than that of boys; the score of the students from first grade was lower than that of the students from second grade, and the score of the students from second grade was lower than that of the students from third grade.2.Psychological maltreatment, neglect, goal concentration, emotion control, positive cognition, family support, interpersonal assistance, the total score of resilience with analysis related depression shows that besides psychological maltreatment and positive cognition were not significantly correlated, there were correlations among the rest.3. With depression as the dependent variable for multivariate level step-wise regression analysis, the results showed: psychological maltreatment and neglect had a significant positive effect on depression; five dimensions of resilience had a significant negative effect on depression.4.The mediation analysis demonstrated that the psychological maltreatment and neglect would not only predict the depression level directly, but it also predict depression level indirectly by influencing the two dimensions of psychological resilience, namely, emotion control and interpersonal assistance.
