This study attempts to explore the relationship among the experience of psychological maltreatment and neglect, coping styles and interpersonal trust. Scale by CPANS, Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire ( SCSQ ) and College students'interpersonal trust questionnaire. 500 undergraduates were tested, and 448 valid questionnaires were received. The results are as follows:1. In the psychological maltreatment subscale, the main effect of gender is significant (boys'score is higher than girls'); the interaction effect between gender and hometown is significant. In the neglect subscale, the main effect of gender is significant (boys'score is higher than girls'), the main effect of hometown is also significant(rural>town>city); the interaction effect between gender and hometown, the interaction effect between hometown and integrity of the family or not are both significant.2. There are significant correlation between two among psychological maltreatment subscale, neglect subscale, positive coping style, negative coping style, character trust, emotional trust, behavior trust and interpersonal trust.3. To interpersonal trust as the dependent variable, using stepwise regression analysis, establish regression equation, as follow: Y = 3.390 + 0.296x1 - 0.125x2 + 0.08028x3 - 0.0855x4(x1: positive coping style; x2: neglect; x3: negative coping style; x4: psychological maltreatment.) Positive coping and negative coping can positively predict interpersonal trust, psychological maltreatment and neglect can negetively predicted interpersonal trust.4. Whether positive or negative coping style, plays an intermediary role between the experience of psychological maltreatment and neglect and interpersonal trust. Furthermore, the intermediary role has reached a significant level.5. Using the cross-group analysis, author examined the intermediary model on the variables of whether the child is single. The results shows that the the applicability of the model is well.
