Locative Preposition’s Research In Dunhuang Bianwen

Dunhuang Bianwen is prevalent in the late Tang and five dynasties period of monastic and civil a Pien literature, bringing together a lot of colloquial words and spoken word,play an irreplaceable role in the history of the language.Basing on Dunhuang Bianwen, the content of the article includes:(1) we investigated and analysised the locative preposition of Dunhuang Bianwen thoroughly and systemtically;(2)we researched the prepositional phrases and their syntactic position in Dunhuang Bianwen;(3)on this basis,we compared Dunhuang Bianwen with Zutangji during that time. Through the above studies, we hope that we can evaluate specific usage and features of locative preposition in Dunhuang Bianwen. At the same time, we wish it could contribute to the history of modern Chinese grammar study.The text is divided into four parts.The first part is discussed from six angles: “survey of locative prepositional study”,“survey of Dunhuang Bianwen’s research”,“significance of topic selection”,“objectives and methods of the research”,“definition of preposition”and “description of corpus”. This part focuses on the basic situation of locative preposition, Dunhuang Bianwen and its related research; explain the significance of topic selection, objectives and methods;discusse prepositional definition and description of corpus’ s selection.The second part makes a detailed classification of 37 locative preposition in Dunhuang Bianwen, and discusses each kind of locative prepositional usage, counts the data of the actual corpus. On this basis, we summarized the characteristic of locative preposition in Dunhuang Bianwen.The third part dicusses locative prepositional phrases and its syntactic functions in Dunhuang Bianwen. We divided locative prepositional phrases into five categories and made a detailed description of syntactic functions, according to diversity of locative words behind locative preposition.The part IV compares Dunhuang Bianwen with Zutangji, basing on the locative preposition in Dunhuang Bianwen. And summarize locative prepositional features in Dunhuang Bianwen.
