Talk “the Large Realm”of Jia Pingwa’s Novel Writing

Jia Pingwa is one of the writers who have the most influence in Chinese contemporary literature,with increasingly concern about selves in this ear,his literary has an unique style.he insists that literature must be “a large realm” and care about the universe and humanity, “ the large realm”becomes a significant feature of Jia Pingwa’s literature. this paper studies “the large realm”of Jia Pingwa’s novels,it includes four parts.The first part investigates the causes of “the large realm”of Jia Pingwa, which analyzing form three aspects: Jia Pingwa’s personal experience and pursuit;the influence of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism;the realism tradition of the writers in Shan Xi.The second part studies the large spirit of Jia Pingwa’s creations.It includes three aspects:digging depth of national evil;the height of caring about universe and humanity;and the large feelings of compassion.The third part reflect “the large realm”by studying the time feature in Jia Pingwa’s literature.This paper points out three periods as the 70 to the 80 s,the 90 s and the 21 st century.The fourth part expounds the “large” of artistic expressions of Jia Pingwa’s novels.It focus on the unified narrative structure of novels;flexible writing perspective;and with real writing virtual.
