A New Study On The Grand Narrative Of Hubei Novels In The New Century

As a unique narrative mode in literature and art,grand narrative has great influence on Chinese literary creation.In the period of "the Seventeen Years" literature,grand narrative is regarded as a classic narrative mode that reflects the essence of history and reality.Li Zicheng by Hubei writer Yao Xueyin is a representative work.Since the new century,based on the grand narration of Li Zicheng and other Hubei novels,Hubei long novel presents some new characteristics,which has constituted a new stage of Hubei novel development with many distinct artistic features.Different historical periods of Hubei novel grand narrative,there exists a diachronic narrative new traits and expand the traditional connotation of grand narrative,is interested in exploring of grand narrative in the traditional sense.The new century Hubei novel Holy Day Gate,Wuchang City,River Lake and so on expend the Li Zicheng’s grand narrative,becoming new representative work of Hubei grand narrative development.In recent years,a new breakthrough has been made in Hubei’s novel White Tiger Village,Man ’s Land,The Secret of the South which form a new trend of Hubei’s grand narrative.In general,the grand narrative of Hubei novels in the new century has both historical and developmental characteristics and is different from Li Zicheng’s new traits.Hubei novels in the new century on the pursuit of grand narrative have broken the past single class perspective and extended to the humanistic care level,which focusing on the individual spirit and the human nature and so on to rethink the course of history,showing deep thought implication.Hubei novels have fully demonstrated the value of traditional culture,which have showed that the traditional culture is regarded as an important dimension to examine the history of revolution to the historical vicissitude of the traditional culture.Traditional culture is not only regarded as a kind of revolution,but also plays an important spiritual power in constructing modern nation-states.In narrative form,the grand narrative of Hubei novels in the new century has made a new artistic exploration,from a single narrative form as the main body to gradually to pluralism and openness,which not only inherit the writing of ancient Chinese legends,but also use modern novel techniques such as multiple narrative perspectives and images to enrich the form of grand narrative.However,in the new century,Hubei novels have made a breakthrough in the artistic construction of grand narrative,but there is still a deficiency in the height of thought and art.
