This dissertation focuses on the Yuan Dynasty and Ming Dynasty murals illustrating the paradise of the Buddha in the southern Shanxi province. Through examination of scene selections, artistic styles. Five existing murals, are examined thoroughly, to demonstrate the influence of the prints in the of the paradise of the Buddha. Through the texts of Buddhism, art history, literature and building space, and to represent the Historical Situation.
