As the repr esentative of De Stijl in the 20 th century, Piet Cornelies Mondrian believes the art should be apart from life to seek art creation with strong instinct meanings, only belonging to spiritual category. That means only geometry is adopted to build a picture to express psychological state of the harmony of man with god and pure abstract spirits. Mondrian uses the co mbination of geometry models to reflect complicated and varied natural world, sketch es the pure and simple instinct pictures, manifests special rhythm s and m ovement traces, interprets the sense of order of rational color. Thus he guides the viewer s to feel the p ure mental experiences, experience and find the essence of the world. The western painting tradition always emphasis on the description of the picture content and apply the m ethod of r econstruct to create vivid pi cture world. But the painting theory of Mondrian thoroughly divi des art from objects and exact contents, seeks the b alance, harmony and oppositio n of visions and takes such pure form aesthetic as the entrance of spiritual world.Mondrian continuously seeks and explores art forms. His works, ideas and the practice of visual adoption have deep influences on many fields such as architecture, techniques and designs. His visual adoption has inseparable relationship with vision effects.E.H.Gombrich proposed the idea of schema on the basis of visualization analysis of painting history. He thinks that schema is to an example to embody the relationship and interaction of every visual elem ent. Art creation o riginates from the visual experience gained by the artists in the real life but art works are outputs resulting from the handling of visual expe rience in the m ethod of sc hematization by artists.T he non-descriptive & non-literary “abstract painting for m”, the grand topoic which is hidden by the picture contents for a long ti me, occurred with exploring by Mondrain and other explorers. This paper tries to analyze the reasons how Mondrain’s painting style formed through exploring the vision effects showed in his art works, studies and researches his art works patterns. Integrated with visual theories, this paper also tries to study the vision effects by the viewers when watching his works through the styles, the adoption of colors and the layout of the picture.
