Guchuiyue is a kind of musical form focusing on the main structures of hitting instruments and blowing instruments and having a wide and a large range of varieties. It also plays an important position in reality, which can not be ignored. Guchuiyue sprouted from the spring and autumn period and the warring states period with the form of "Dahele", initially formed in the qin and han dynasties. It was used according to the situation, the differences between the band configurations, function; it could also be roughly divided into the yellow door trumpet, Hengchui, riding blow, and short flutes, meaning four categories. After the period of weijin southern and northern dynasties, the management authority of the charge of Guchuiyue were eventually set up afterwards, promoting the development of the trumpet music in the court. Guchuiyue began to flourish during the period of the sui and tang dynasty. After Zhao Song set up the new emperor, the city industrial and commercial prosperity gradually began to flock to the city, and the citizen stratum was also widened. In the fourth of Chongning, it was played by Dacheng, also by Taichangsi in the seventh of Xuanhe. Due to the change and the conversion of affiliation, and with the influences of the eastern and western classes of Junrongzhigen, the qualities and the essences of Guchuiyue of the song dynasty changed, ranging from the state of elegance to the state of vulgarization.The application of Guchuiyue of the song dynasty was nearly the same as that in the tang dynasty, but only in the song dynasty, it moved towards the folk. In the northern song dynasty, in every festival performance, Guchuiyue was mostly held by the rulers in official building terraces or mountain tents, asking all sorts of artists to perform there, those whose family name were "wan" gathered to watch. Guchuiyue of the period of the southern song dynasty was more prevalent in the folk, plus the awards for the people who played it, it also showed a supporting attitude among people.
