People are always as the main carrier of direct and extensive hazards, their ability to prevent earthquake disaster mitigation is significant for the whole society.People in earthquake disaster cognition and response as an important aspect of the local social disaster reduction ability of cognition between people of different earthquake disaster cognition and response characteristics and group differences in the response, in order to improve the public awareness of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction, improving the public response to the level of seismic hazard, then put forward some groups for advice. This paper in 2010 4.14 Yushu earthquake of magnitude 7.1, for example, by the early accumulation of a large number of questionnaire data, discussed the Yushu area of different group cognition and the overall situation of earthquake disaster response, specific analysis of elementary school, junior high school students, high school students, teachers and parents of different groups between the cognitive and response difference of earthquake disaster, The main conclusions are as follows:1. The earthquake’s impact on Yushu people’s cognition and response is unsatisfactory, earthquake disaster cognition and response variables scored an average rate of 0.45, knowledge of earthquake disaster, earthquake disaster skills and shock when self-help and mutual aid average scoring rate were less than 0.5. Among them, the earthquake self-help mutual aid score rate is the lowest, 0.41, indicating that Yushu area five people cognition and response ability of earthquake disaster should be strengthened.2.To calculate the score of four variables on the cognition and response of the people in earthquake disaster was: it is concluded that: the knowledge of people on the "magnitude" master is good, and the intensity of the earthquake rumors "and" earthquake precursory "terminology is unsatisfactory, in the skill of" emergency medical rescue skills "and" emergency shock escape principle "the two questions to grasp the difference, self-help and mutual aid better as" inappropriate, not moral behavior ", after the earthquake, the people of the earthquake rumors in the state of" the scoring rate is the lowest, in the future, we should strengthen the type of problem knowledge education.3. There is a positive correlation between the cognitive level of earthquake disaster and the response ability of the earthquake disaster for the Yushu people.Compared with the knowledge of earthquake disaster, earthquake disaster skills master the situation of earthquake disaster response behavior is more obviousto earthquake disaster cognition variables and the response variable correlation analysis that five groups of people on the earthquake disaster cognition profound impact response behavior of the disaster of the earthquake damage.4.The cognitive and response of the five groups of target populations in Yushu were significantly differences in the earthquake disaster, analyzing the single factor of the variance of the male and female. The results showed that there were no significant differences in the cognitive variables between males and females, and there were significant differences in the response variables of the earthquake disaster. Except for the mental&emotional mood after the earthquake, the 25-30 years of age scored the highest score thanothers variables, the lowest of the age of 70 years. Overall, all groups in the self-help and mutual aid and the mental&emotional mood after the earthquake variables score is higher than the rate of earthquake disaster knowledge variables and disaster releasing skills variables.5. Key influence factors of seismic disaster difference for Yushu people cognitive and response:(1) An analysis in variables and extent of teachers and parents who were educated. The results showed that the level of education to parents in the earthquake disaster and earthquake disaster mitigation skills of two variables has a significant impact, less impression on teachers.(2)for the study of religion on cognition in different populations and response ability to earthquake disaster. The results showed that the factors of religion had no significant effect for junior middle school students, the other four groups are influenced in the different variables by the religious factors.(3) it is influenced by the level of the earthquake disaster knowledge difference upon the economic and high school students and their parents; pupils, teachers and parents in the skills of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction exists significant difference, high school students in the shock self-help and mutual aid variables have significant differences. In the emotional and information mood aspect after the earthquake, the high school students and teachers are more remarkable influenced by the economic level.(4)there is no disaster experience on Pupils’ knowledge of earthquake disaster, the junior middle school students’ shockproof frame in skills and self and mutual rescue variables have significant effect, teachers and parents in post earthquake information/emotional variables in addition to the three variables are subject to the influence of this factor. The experience of the disaster experienced high school students had no significant effect on the investigation variables.(5)The affected degree of the size of senior high school students of earthquake disaster knowledge and pupils of disaster releasing skills have significant influences; it also affects both elementary and high school students of the earthquake self-help and mutual aid; the extent of the disaster affects teachers and parents of the post earthquake psychological mood, has no significant impact on the students.6. Based on the above analysis results, some suggestions are put forward:(1)Strengthen the basic knowledge of earthquake disaster, common sense of popular science propaganda, especially include the operability, practical and strong earthquake mitigation skills.(2) the emphasis on the improvement of the students and the degree of the education of the lower groups of the earthquake disaster reduction ability. The results of this study shows that in the Yushu district, the students and the education level of the earthquake disaster in the lower level of the cognitive and response ability is at a low level. And according to the characteristics of the group, carrying out propaganda work, by radio, TV or various image of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction propaganda album and low requirements on the level of education of the way the of publicity and education.(3) it is suitable to develop and popularize medical knowledge and emergency medical principles, and strengthen the public shock self-help and mutual aid of knowledge and common sense.(4) in the period of psychological and emotional after the earthquake recovery, study of five groups of religion and the monasteries and religious figures to appease this two factors higher acceptance rate. Therefore, future work should be the propaganda of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction with unique local religion and culture combination, but also by temples and religious power, thereby to increase the Yushu region of earthquake prevention and disaster reduction ability.
