A Study Of Chinese Translation Of 《Ayoxi》 In Cultural Turn Vision

Since the 1960s, some translation researchers such as James Holmes, Susan Bassnett,Andre Lefevere etc. bring cultural element of translation into their research perspective and began to study translation from the point of cultural research,which means cultural turn came into existence in the field of translation studies.The cultural turn of translation Studies extend the translation from the traditional language-level to the translation, translator, the translation impact of ideology, politics and poetic concept, sponsors and other cultural aspects. However, the current Mongolian and Chinese translation.studies are still mainly based on the traditional translation theory and methods. Even there are just a few Mongolian literary translation analyze critically with the cultural turn translation theory. Novella Ayoxi is a representative works of Mongolian famous writer Da. Sengge, which has been translated two times in the 1950s. Therefore, its translation has a positive impact to the Sino-Mongolian friendship. Based on the cultural turn translation theory and methods, this thesis discuss the cultural differences during the translation, the selection of translation strategy, he translator’s subjectivity and and the influencing factors etc. and then elaborate her own opinion.The thesis consists of four parts, namely the introduction, main body, conclusion and reference.The introduction part mainly elaborates selected topic reason, research status, research purpose and method, research significance and innovation point etc; The first part introduces the cultural turn of translation studies, the Chinese translation of Mongolian novel and the transmission and translation of novelette Ayoxi in China. The second part analyzes the Mongolian-Chinese cultural difference, the translation strategy and some shortcomings during the Ayoxi Chinese translation,then puts forward some supplementary method toward mis-translation and missing translation which was led by language cultural difference. The third part made a detailed analysis to the translator’s subjectivity and and the influencing factors. The Conclusion is the epilogue which summed up the whole thesis.
