A Study Of The Spread About The Communist Manifesto In China

The research on spread of the Communist Manifesto (hereinafter referred to as the Manifesto) in China is of great theoretical and practical significance for deeply understanding the connotation and essence of the theory of Marxism, learning about its impact on the Chinese Revolution and socialist construction in details,and promoting development and enrichment of the theory of Marxism in China. Scholars in China have achieved great achievements on the study of the spread of the Communist Manifesto in China from different perspectives.In this paper, the research on the spread of the Communist Manifesto in China is conducted based on previous scholars’ research and classification about the study, arranged by time, associated with historical figures and historical events and combined with the characteristics of the times and society in different period. This paper mainly deals with spread process of the Communist Manifesto in China and the profound effect and significance in different period.The first chapter introduces the research background and historical process and its great impact of the spread of the Communist Manifesto in China. The chapter illustrates the great theory and practical significance of the spread, summarizes briefly research status and remarkable achievement at home and broad, and introduces the general design of this paper.The second chapter deals with the partial spread of the Communist Manifesto in China and social analysis at the end of the Qing Dynasty, and various people’s spread of the Communist Manifesto including foreign missionaries, international students in Japan and bourgeois reformists and revolutionists.The third chapter deals with the complete spread of the Communist Manifesto during the New Culture Movement in China including reasons of the complete spreading during the May Fourth Movement, advanced intellectuals’ contributions of the spread, the first Chinese version of the Communist Manifesto and founding of the Communist Party in China.The forth chapter deals with the secret and open spread of the Communist Manifesto during the period of New Democracy,specifically, the secret publication of the Communist Manifesto to spread Marxist theory.This chapter also consists of the open spread of the Communist Manifesto during the War of Resistance Against Japan in Yanan, party leaders’ systematic study of it and its historical role for the Chinese Revolution.The fifth chapter deals with wide spread and contemporary significance of the Communist Manifesto after the foundation of the People’s Republic of China including its reprint, theoretical research and contemporary value. People will deeply understand that the Communist Manifesto has a significant impact on socialist China.
