| The Military Inspirational Youth (MIY) TV series is a sub-type of Army theme, which is started with Soldiers Sortie in 2006.The TV series has formed a unique productive pattern, and caused widespread attention in the TV market as it was able to express the mainstream ideology naturally, and cater to the psychology of image consumption of youth. This thesis summarizes the pattern and characteristics of the Military Inspirational Youth (MIY) TV series so as to provide some experience for the innovation in our main TV series.The thesis is composed of four parts. Firstly, it defines the concept of the Military Inspirational Youth (MIY) TV series, and analysis the rise and development process from the perspectives of the market reaction, cultural background and public demand.
