In today’s ancient novel research area, the study of ancient classical Chinese novels is very prosperous. But in the existing research results, these works mostly focus on Liao Zhai Zhi Yi written by Po Songling and Yuewei Cottage Notes, such as Zhang Renrang’s Research on Art Creation of Liao Zhai Zhi Yi, Wu Bo’s Research on Yuewei Cottage Notes and so on. This unbalance research pattern will affect our overall understanding of ancient classical Chinese novels. As a result, it is very important to profile and research ancient novel research In addition to Liao Zhai Zhi Yi and Yuewei Cottage Notes.Xie Duo is a collection of the classical Chinese Short Stories by Shen Qifeng in Qing dynasty. There are 12 parts, is divided into more than 120 articles.The contents of the Xie Duo sweeping heaven and earth involving Paradise and hell, break the limitation of time and space and describes a vivid world, is the most influential works after Liao Zhai Zhi Yi. But the related studies are few, such as Zhu Jie’s Xie Duo’s Aesthetics Contribution. Hou Min’s Study Soul Images and Meaning of Xie Duo and so on, and these papers only focus on certain aspects and pay little attention to the overall style and Originality.This paper mainly includes five parts:The first part is the research background, research review and creative motivation. Firstly introducing the necessity and importance of comprehensive study on Xie Duo.Then explain the feasibility and importance that article choose from comparative perspective on the scholar images, female images, ghost images between Xie Duo and Liao Zhai Zhi Yi and Yuewei Cottage Notes. Finally, from the objective reasons and subjective motivation introducing writing background of Xie Duo.The second, third, fourth and fifth parts are the main content. Form the comparison with Liao Zhai Zhi Yi and Yuewei Cottage Notes explaining Xie Duo’s originality on the aspects of scholar images, female images, and ghosts’description and the overall artistic characteristics of Xie Duo’s images.The second chapter combined with Shen Qifeng’s life experience and time background, form four angles discussing scholars’originality of Xie Duo, then pointing out Shen Qifeng’s profound reflection on financial and intelligence relations and the finesse on novel’s details.The third chapter from the absolute protagonist of goal setting, female talent’s showcase, and the growth process of female talent’s exhibition and female consciousness’s stereo description to summary female images’originality. Fully reflecting author’s valuable orientation about calling the nature beauty, praising the noble character and yearning for a better life.
