It is an irresistible trend that Chinese Oil Painting develops in a diversified way. The exploration into the art per se and the art form bring about vigor and vitality towards modern oil painting development. Chinese painting thought has been deeply influenced by the long history and culture accumulation and the combination and blending of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. "Six Methods" and "lively Flavor", which have been ranked the first in discussion of Chinese Oil Painting, become the spiritual object of Chinese freehand abstract painting and the traditional spirit of Chinese drawing will not lose its trace in Chinese Oil Painting.With the idea of "Chinese Body and Western Usage", dated back from 20s, Chinese Oil Painting pioneers have been devoted and committed to its development and tremendous progress has been made ever since. Back to our nation and native culture has become the theme of modern Oil Painters’reflection and research, and Chinese Character Oil painting is in particular and whose development could not continue without the foundation of tradition culture. It has become a valuable asset thanks to several thousands of years’ Chinese national tradition. The painting "People of Hundred schools in series" are all familiar, close intellectuals, painters and scholars around the author. Based on the real life experience, the author tries to create a modern schematic drawing with traditional freehand Imshwork painting flavor by way of Chinese painters’ink painting language and aesthetic connotation. Comments and suggestions are warmly welcomed form counterparts and teachers.
