In October 2005, the Communist Party of China’s sixteen committee of fifth plenary session passed "the central committee of the Communist Party of China to develop the national economy and social development of the eleventh five year plan suggestion", put forward the modernization is an important target of constructing a socialist country at present, and one of the important ways to realize socialist modernization in our country is the Socialism New Rural Construction. At this point, the Socialism New Rural Construction just like "economy will be developmental, life will be wealthy, rural will be polite and civilized, appearance will be clean and tidy, management will be democracy" has begun. Long ago, the Folk Beliefs came into being, and it has been in the rural of China since produced, and almost all the farmers are the believers, in the long-term inheritance process, it has brought important influence on the farmers’ believers. Now, many rural habits, traditional customs, rituals, and so on are the Folk Beliefs’existence form, and a part of folk beliefs, such as polite and civilized minds, enrich the Chinese traditional virtues, too. Believers can get psychological comfort and spiritual attribution through Folk Beliefs, also can be able to regulate their own heart and behaviors, which affects the spiritual civilization of the rural and farmer’s ideological and culture, also has important influence on the Socialism New Rural Construction. Firstly, on the macroscopic, the author keeps the Folk Beliefs that come from different nationalities and different regions as a entirety, then in the process of this paper, on the microscopic, the author analyzes and researches on specific cases through the numerous in-depth. This paper introduces the basic situation of the Rural Folk Beliefs since the Reforming and Opening, then evaluates their influence on the Socialism New Rural Construction objectively, finally puts forward to some effective suggestions instructing the Folk Beliefs to serve the Socialism New Rural.In this paper, the text is divided into three parts:the first part mainly introduces the basic situation of the current Rural Folk Beliefs, including the revival of Folk Beliefs in the rural since the Reforming and Opening, and the basic content and characteristics of Folk Beliefs recently. The second part mainly disserts the Folk Beliefs influence on the Socialism New Rural Construction, including the positive role and negative impact about the spiritual civilization, economic development, social livelihood of the people, grassroots autonomy, ecological environment, and so on. The third part mainly expounds how to guide the Folk beliefs serve to build the Socialism New Rural, including strengthening Folk Beliefs’orientation and academic research, strengthening the organizations of Folk Beliefs’ and their believers’ propaganda, education and guidance, strengthening the management of Folk Belief, etc.
