English is an important language in the world and a vital tool for international communication.Therefore,oral English has attracted much attention.However,in rural areas,English teaching has been carried out for many years.The development of English education in rural junior middle schools is not balanced.The long-term absence of oral English teaching is a major problem affecting the communication and learning of rural junior middle school students.The purpose of this thesis is to explore and analyze the current situation of oral English learning in rural middle schools and a series of related problems.Fhis thesis takes teachers and students of three rural middle schools in De'an County,Jiangxi province as research objects.The research adopts questionnaire survey,interview and other methods to learn about the current situation of teachers,hardware facilities,regional economic conditions,teaching environment,teaching methods and teaching results of oral English teaching in rural junior middle schools in De'an County.From the perspective of teachers,students and environments,this thesis analyzes the existing English teaching problems and the causes in rural junior middle schools.This thesis finds that:(1)teacher-related problems include lacking professional teachers,ignoring oral English teaching and old-fashioned teaching methods;(2)students-related problems are weak motivation,psychological barrier,and little language input;(3)environmental-related problems cover inefficient teaching facilities,insufficient Language environment and family environment.Finally,according to the actual status of oral English teaching in rural junior middle schools,this thesis proposes some countermeasures to improve oral English teaching in rural junior middle schools.Through surveying the current situation of oral English teaching in rural junior middle schools,the th.esis is expected to change the long-term "dumb English"situation of students,raise students" awareness of oral English,pay more attention to oral English teaching,and take measures to improve oral English teaching and students' communicating ability in rural junior middle schools.
