For language learners whose native language are not Chinese, the structure of“Verb +directional complements” had always been an concept hard to comprehend,not only because its multiformity, but also its complicated meaning.Foreign students always make mistakes while learning this structure. In the past, the research about the structure of“ Verb +directional complements” mainly focus on the ananlysisi of emantics, syntactics and structure,while rarely on the cause of errors,acquisition of the trend and teaching material. In this paper, we quoted“Verb+Shang/Xia”as a precedent to discover the meaning and application of the structure of “ Verb +directional”.At the same time,we try to analysis the errors in detail by searching the errors from HSK, hoping to find out why foreign students suffer difficulties in learning“ Verb +Shang/Xia” and classify these errors. In the end, we had done some field surveys with the help of current teaching material, then offered some proposals of learning suggestions according to the actual learning status of the learners. We expected our study would brought some help to TCFL(Teaching Chinese As Foreign Language).
