Our English writing course used get stuck in such situation: Students are afraid to write,the teachers don’t like to correct students’ papers, and the writing course is not so effective;the students’ spoken Chinese is more better than Chinese writing.Now our Chinese writing course also meet with this difficult So we try to draw on the experience of “The length approach” into our Chinese writing course.“The length approach” is a Foreign Language Teaching theory, by designing some tasks that can stimulate students to write, in some stage of Foreign Study, complying with the law of Foreign Study,accommodating the writing’s length to encourage the students to write more to open the students’ emotional pass. Letting the students have the sense of achievement and confidence,so reducing the fear to write,even improving the students’ Foreign Study’s level. With the guide of “The length approach”, considering the feature of abroad students(Indonesia students), this assay conduct a“The length approach” experiment among 10 Indonesia students, which last for 9 months, finding that “The length approach” not only can improving the students’ Foreign Study, but also can change students’ attitude towards Chinese writing and even Chinese; “The length approach” also can apply to the Mandarin writing course abroad...
