A Study Of Animacy Positioning And Swing On “chi +NP” Combination

Animacy is the dynamic degree of Living organisms,and it is an important factor that affects language expression; The animacy positioning of Words is the basis to determine the most commonly used word semantics; Swing is the deviation degree of the based positioning semantic when words combination,it makes many kinds of expression way to be accepted.The based positioning semantic of "chi" is [entrance chew swallow],it will deviate from the positioning animacy hierarchy to swing semantic when it combines with different “NP”,thus meet the needs of the expression.There are upward swing and downward swing.This study observed and explored the animacy impact on "chi+ NP" combination in the perspective of syntax and pragmatics,and explained the animacy swing.The study found that:So many animacy swing on "chi +NP" combination is through the transformation on parts of its events constitute, including the multiple paths expand the combination of "chi", to constitue more swing forms of "chi + NP".The ways to animacy swing of "chi + NP" event are shifting,paths omission,object omission, etc.When "chi + NP" swings in the same rank,NP swing to the factors related to diet, it is more freedom; When "Eat + NP" swings across the animacy rank, "chi" also swings, that needs paths or metaphor.For example: "chi diao yi ge ma" and "chi jin ri ben shi chang " constitute through the paths; "chi guan fan" and "chi ren" "chi hui kou " "chi mo " constitute by metaphor form "chew swallow" to swing semantic.
