We have the same or similar in planar graphics regularly according to line according to the column arrangement is called a repeat over and over again. For repeat form, its image is the visual graphics and orderly arranged together, make the picture presents a sense of order and the feeling of impact effect. Design as a decoration language, has its unique value and broad applicability, especially to design has regularity, symbolization and seeking changes in concise and practical. Regularity of the pattern shows in use repeated construction, with two side or four consecutive sequential patterns, we will find the form of repeated use. Now society is in a rapid economic development, under market economy system, design also should use now learn to the theory of knowledge and science and technology level, and can’t abandon us the patterns of the traditional culture, including our Chinese culture. Repeat the form is a form from the life phenomenon, the modern commercial advertisements are using repeated a design case, are repeated as the means to achieve the purpose of advertising. In this article, through comparative study of Chinese and western traditional and modern design, the repeated structure as the breakthrough point, through the repetition of the history and present situation analysis, in its graphic creative research show that the aesthetic value, to find and analyze the repeat constitute the unique beauty, ultimately on decorative beauty and balance beauty: repeat is the art of argument.
