The Search On The Thought Of Li Rihua’s “the Spirit”

Li RiHua is a writer, reviewer and appreciator of late Ming dynasty. He is also good at calligraphy and Chinese painting. He is the first one on calligraphy field to put forward “The spirit”. This point of value creation subject knowledge, personality, emotional expression and individual character with clear the brand of the Times. But few people know about it today.The goal of this article is to research his “The spirit”. How could Li RiHua think calligraphy express spirit. It contains the concept, indentification, performance,etc.. From “The spirit”, we know the calligraphy thought of Li RiHua still rooted in traditional. Under the infleunce of radical personality libeiation thought and the traditional literati integrity,Li RiHua’s thought combine the Confucianism, zen and the eclectic age. Compared with the same period thought, Li RiHua’s point inherit the tradition and the individuality eclectic blend together. He found a way to combine the ancient and express the spirit.And for the reason why he is not know for people, this paper try from main and object to find his limitations. This article hopes to make people better understand Li RiHua and the diversity of the late Ming dynasty. Represented by Li RiHua scholar group in late Ming dynasty made his own efforts for the development of culture and calligraphy in Ming dynasty.
