Micro-communication is becoming more and more mature as the new media has been widely used. However, the culture of Hanshan Temple still communicates in a traditional way. By introducing its development of architecture, inscriptions,poems, and the feature of micro-media and micro-content, this paper discusses the inheritance of Hanshan Temple culture through the use of new media from the concept of communication, and draws the conclusion that theoretical basis has been laid for space-relief and cross-cultural-communication. Also, the paper presents the design approach of micro-communication in the view of technology and aesthetics for the new communication and inheritance of traditional culture.First of all, by describing the development of micro-communication, and the application of new media technology, this paper points out that with the use of new media, micro-communication now plays an extremely important role in emotional communication, marketing, policy implementation, etc, especially the culture industry. But a sound example for the new communication of traditional culture still lacks. This paper extracts the key elements of inscriptions art and Ho-Ho culture of Hanshan Temple. What’s more, it develops the designing and exploring of micro-communication with App technology.Secondly, this paper does further research on inscriptions of Hanshan Temple on the basis of a large number of historical documents, pictures and records. It describes its artistic and cultural beauty from inside and outside points of view,makes a comprehensive analysis on nationality, history, and symbolic aesthetic characteristics, which presents the beauty of Hanshan Temple culture and also the common characteristics of traditional Chinese culture.Finally, this paper does detailed theoretical analysis on the inscriptions art of Hanshan Temple adopting communication theory. It creatively puts forward that micro-communication balances the inheritance of inscriptions and builds a bridge for the communication between the old and new culture. The micro-communication of inscriptions is designed by the use of technologies, such as Autodesk Maya for digital simulation, Photoshop for user interface design, and Unity3 D for Mobile development.Micro-communication is the tendency, which presents natural adaptation and rich experiences for individuals, and also has a strong appeal to the whole society.The further development of culture industry is bound to find its way in the rising wave of micro-communication. In this paper, by introducing the concept of micro-communication together with communication theory and App technology, thepresent of the Hanshan Temple will be full of artistic appeal and cultural perception. Moreover, this paper is aimed to argue the feasibility of protecting and spreading the traditional culture through micro-communication and finds a new way for the development of it.
