Study And Reference Of Japanese Utagawa Hiroshige’s Ukiyo-e

The article based on the utagawa Hiroshige’ukiyo-e as the center of A Hundred View of Edo and finish creation.Ukiyo-e appred in Japan Edo Era(19th century) as a demand from ordinary people, which are mainly landscape, beauty portrait, and servant portrait etc. This civilian art origins from China Qing dynasty’s woodprint painting, which is also an important symbol in Japanese art history. The landscape painting, whichs is the majority in Ukiyo-e, has both real and ideal beauty, looking for the unique understanding of the spirit of painting. This unique understanding of the spirit is the common share in oriental art. Ukiyo-e landscape is a perfect cooperation of the painter, the sculptor, and the printer. Ukiyo-s’ original version is precious and valuable, because the decadence of the sculptor and the printer. Especially the landmark painter in Ukiyo-e landscape Utagawa Hiroshige, based on combing both Eastern and Western techniques and value, used unique lines and vivid color to abstract the scenes, catching the nature beauty of Japanese custom. His work contributes huge influence to the forming of impressionism in late 19 th century, as well as provide inspiration and material for modern art. I know his work from my university. His work, is highly praised in art field of Japan and Europe, which worths widely study and discuss. This article, based on the social background of late Edo Era, discusses the influence of political and economic elements in Ukiyo-e landscape.Also, the article combs the taste of art and the development of sculpture Ukiyo-e technology to understand the background of Ukiyo-e landscape as represented by A hundred view of Edo. Meanwhile, the article, by using the analysis of Utagawa Hiroshige, also includes other schools and representative persons of Edo Era, to complete the whole background and life of Hiroshige, discuss his style of art. This article, looks at the mixed influence and impact of life, personality and unique art of Hiroshige to feel his arts’ attraction. Secondary, this article, revolving A hundred view of Edo’s scenes’ characteristics and the latitude of horizon, analyses the unique meaning of each elements.At last, the article reflects the process and experience of my own creation based on the my study of Hiroshige. In the process of painting because of the particularity of ukiyo-e, some characteristics can’t be shown in the creation. Based on real world viewfinder, video analysis, I extract the unique seasons’ view on northeast China and refer to Hiroshige’s composition and tone in his A hundred view of Edo to create my own “the four seasons of northeast”theme landscape illustration, which reflects the real beauty of nature but not same as realistic photograph focusing on every detail. A total of 8 paintings,there are pictures of each season.Through the speed of illustration and the scenery to promote tourism scenery and local customs, arouse people’s longing for nature and environmental awareness.
