Research On Zhang Yimou’s Commercial Movies

In this paper, "hero " etc. five films of new century as the main research object, from two themes into content and style, deeply discuss the theme connotation,character image and image expression of Zhang Yimou’s films,and points out the lack of movie narrative about Zhang Yimou’s films.Six parts demonstrates Zhang Yimou’s films contained.The introduction part study the research status of Zhang Yimou’s films,and extract the paper starting point of Zhang Yimou’s commercial films in the new century based on the research status.The first chapter study the rationality of history about Zhang Yimou’s commercial films,and study Zhang Yimou’s spirit of explore and the courage to break through himself. The second chapter and the second chapter points out that movies’ theme connotation and image expression of Zhang Yimou movies from the angle of culture,and points out that the typed of characters. The fourth chapter analyzes the flashy image of the film through the colors, pictures,artistic conception of movies,and show the style of beautiful properties. The fifth chapter points out the commercial films has problems of exaggerating film’s form while ignoring the film’s narrative which based on the second chapter,the third chapter and the fourth chapter. Finally,I will evaluate Zhang Yimou’s commercial movies in the affirmative and the coexistence of vision.Recognition of his achievements and pointes out the possibility of the occurrence of acommercial films.Zhang Yimou’s commercial films focus on image style, but also should pay attention to narration, director should take up the responsibility of concerne to contemporary life, closer to the people of the reality life, to reflect the existence of today’s social problems.
