| Jin Dynasty, which had ruled north China for more than 120 years, was composed of multi-ethnic unified regime. The reign of the Emperor Zhangzong of Jin Dynasty began to present flourishing situation, which was closely related to the national policy of Jin Dynasty. However, the study in academic on the national policy of The Emperor Zhangzong was lacking. Besides, there was also no monograph about the national policy of Jin Dynasty which was during the Emperor Zhangzong period. Therefore, in this article, the measures, characteristics and influences of the national policy wer e studied. So we thought that the national prejudices and ethnic discrimination were reduced, which meant the national policies of Emperor Zhangzong were more enlightened and progressive than ever.In this paper, we discussed the national policies of every dynasty within the Jin Dynasty field, which were including the policy of maintenance and renovation to Nvzhen, drawing and stabilizing to Han, playing pacify and suppressing to Khitan and Xi, pressing the upper to Bohai and using the “divide and conquer” to Mongolia. We had the opinion that the national policy during the Zhangzong period totally presented following characteristics and trends: giving c onsideration both Nvzhen and others, weakening the discrimination and conflicts, soft appeasing and pressing. They all promoted the development of society and ethic fusion. However, all of the national policies were based on the need of ruling classes. They were limited and not thorough, which brought some hidden troubles to the Jin Dynasty. |
