Piano, in its not more than three hundred years of existence, has made great contribution in history of music and is well accepted worldwide with a vast number of compositions. In most culturally prosperous countries and districts, piano has long become a household instrument, not a privilege. In China, “Corydon Piccolo” composed by He Luting is considered the first piano work of significance. However, less than a century’s development, as opposed to centuries of that in Europe, has not help change China’s disadvantage in this area. Minority ethnic groups’ music has come into the works. In this paper, " Tibet Sketch " will be introduced about the background information and techniques in composing, and then discussed mainly on the key skills for the performance and the ample scenario this piece presents.
