James’ s philosophy is a kind of humanism theory. In his opinion,The experience is the first materials that construct of the world, and this experience includes our knowledge of reality and the connections between things. Experience is independent and self-contained. So James named his theory as humanism, which is different from Bradley’s “experience” theory.Experience flows, people that as the subject of perception is highlighted; similarly, the subject exists. Neither the subject of perception, nor the reality of things, are not the final entity exists, but as a function of flowing experience. But the limitation here is that with an all encompassing concept to describe our notified things will cause logic contradiction and the significance of the concept will become indistinct.Truth, as a section of experience, its significance in James is no longer depict the reality, but connect the experience to another and make them towards the future. Whether the statements is true lies on people’s own judgment, this “people” can be individuals, can also be a group. So the meaning of Truth as a “mirror” of the reality changes to the Truth can be helpful to people in James’ s theory. The significance of the Humanism highlights again. The limitation here is that the definition of the term "utility" need to be more explicit, so that the theory can be understood.“Truth”, can lead people to success. So Truth links to Good, and as a kind of “Good”.The epistemology of chasing to the truth and the ethics of finding the “good” are unified in James’ s theory. The pursuit of "good" in the ethics using the truth, is a natural thing. So the future, rooted in the reality of experience, can be predicted and deal by the existing truth. So, we should not be optimistic or pessimism about the future.Just like James’ s theory tell us :Each of us, should be a actors that dare to accept the risk.
