A Research On The Quotation Of Gu-Jin-Yun-Hui-Ju-Yao

This thesis,focuse on Gu-jin-yun-hui-ju-yao(《古今韵会举要》),under the guidance of principles in the fields of the Dictionary Academic theories and the Critical Interpretation of Ancient texts,and with the methods of induction,comparing and literature research,then,find out its’innovation and deficiency,which may offer an insight for later dictionaries about how to take an example.This thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is introduction. IN this chapter,we briefly introduce the structure of the inheritance of gu-jin-yun-hui-ju-yao and related rhyming dictionaries, illustrate this topic’s present research situation and research value, and determine the research object and method. The second chapter is the basic situation and characteristics. We list the title of the books which are quoted by ju-yao, showed the characteristics of the example sentence —— old and new example sentence combined together, and discussed the new example sentences in detail. Finally, we try to discuss it’s two quotation methods, section quotes and Meaning quotes, from the perspective of citation omitted. The third chapter is the achievements and value of gu-jin-yun-hui-ju-yao about it’s examples. Introduced it’s inheritance and revision for the former dictionaries, and briefly summarized the ju-yao in quotes achievements and evaluated the value. The fourth chapter is the quotes failures and above. This part, we focused on analysis of the text errors and the phenomenon of the quotes and meanings does noe match, then proved the quotes errors and commented on this phenomenon. The fifth chapter is the conclusion. Summarized the principle of quotes which can provide guidance for dictionary quotes according to ju-yao’s cited characteristics.As a rhyme book,it has detailed annotations and a large number of examples, the samples’ value of ju-yao should not be ignored. Understanding it’s characteristic about quotation can promote people to know well about the interpretation system with ju-yao, and it is useful to Dictionary Academic theories and the Critical Interpretation of Ancient texts.
