"Empathy", originally, is an aesthetic concept in the aesthetic category, and then gradually it is extended to numerous categories such as cognitive psychology and second language acquisition and the like. During the learning process of Chinese as a second language, cultural empathy is a powerful weapon for overcoming the phenomenon, "cultural shock", which usually occurred in cross-cultural communication, and proper cultural empathy contributes to overcoming cultural stereotypes under the trend of multi-culture fusion.The communicative capabilities of those who are with poor or no ability of cultural empathy cannot be effectively formed and cannot play a positive role. It can be seen that it is very important to cultivate the ability of cultural empathy of students during second language teaching. Cultural empathy is an effective method for improving the efficiency of foreign language acquisition. It helps learners go beyond the limit of their own culture and communicate at a deep level of the two different cultures. The language acquisition process is the process of mutual communication among two cultures. Only by the medium, cultural empathy, to transfer cultural views of their own, by rediscovering foreign culture to learn and apply languages and to describe the actual world provided by the text meaning, can this acquisition task be achieved.The thesis, on the guidance of cultural adaption theory, cultural transfer theory and Pygmalion effect (expectancy effect) theory in psychology, seeks a cultivation method for cultural empathy abilities of foreign students at the primary stage of learning, to achieve the goal of improving their learning interests, learning effects and even helping them rapidly construct a complete cross-cultural cognition mode.The thesis is composed of six parts. The first part is the introduction; the second part introduces the connotation, theoretical basis of cultural empathy and the meaning of cultivating the ability of cultural empathy at the primary stage in second language acquisition; the third part seeks the cultivation for abilities of cultural empathy of foreign students in different periods at the primary stage of learning from four periods, "learning honeymoon period", "learning frustration period", "learning adjustment period" and "learning adaption period"; the fourth part is empirical teaching, the author, by combining four periods and four skill trainings of the primary stage of learning, take traditional Confucianism as a main line of culture, demonstrates the cultivation of cultural empathy consciousness and reflects the teaching scheme; the fifth part discusses problems that should be pay attention to during the implementation of cultural empathy teaching; the sixth part is the conclusion.
