Displaced aggression occurs when a person is provoked, is prevented from retaliating against the original provocateur,and subsequently aggresses against a innocent target。This article investigates how could the perceived entitativity impact on displaced aggression and subsequent direct aggression 。 Study 1(N=64)shows participants display more aggression when the group to which the original provocateur and the displaced target belong is highly entitative。Study 2(N=50) shows displaced aggression leads to less direct aggression when the he original provocateur and the displaced target belong to a group that is perceived as highly entitative。Study 3(N=96) examined the message delivering hypothesis,results shows participants experience more justice-related satisfaction when the provocateur group manipulated to be highly entitative meanwhile get the message delivered feedback。... |
