A Comparative Study Of Textile Flower Pattern Between China And Japan

Textile culture as an important part of the cultural exchange between China and Japan,the flower pattern is the most shinning part of all the dyeing patterns that enriched the whole dyeing patterns. In the modern textile pattern, flower pattern is the most significant among textile design world. Relative to this, the development of dyeing art of Japan has been part of China’s textile culture, from the historical records can be found that the Japanese pattern has always been influenced by China. However the Japanese pattern style becomes unique after combined the local culture and the cultures from other different countries.In this paper, we study the traditional dyeing flower pattern of China and Japan. Based on the research of Chinese and Japanese traditional flower pattern, it is our duty to inheritance and carry forward the excellent dyeing pattern culture of our country. We should summarize more details and methods of the flower patterns on the inheritance and innovation of China and Japan, remove the dross while keeping the essence, to strengthen our understanding of Chinese textile flower patterns.Through the overview of dyeing patterns of the flower, discuss the development of the two countries in the flower pattern, and the development in the modern society, collect the information of flower patterns, through the research of typical flowers pattern, especially from the pattern, color, composition, process and material, we can find the similarities and differences of flower patterns between China and Japan, and summed up the same and different between the two countries. Study the diversity of the flower pattern of the two countries, to explore the design methods of the flower pattern in nowadays society.In comparison of flower pattern between China and Japan, we should apply the viewpoints of history, and discuss the cultural background between the two countries, and the differences of national aesthetic and life style that influence on dyeing pattern style, and to discover the flower patterns to inheritance and innovation. To make the Chinese traditional national styledesign be used in modern life, to carry forward the national culture, to make valuable and useful reference of modern textile art and provide the prosperity and innovation for textile art design.
