Dating back more than 400 years ago in 1599, the Joseon people Roin wrote a diary named "Gumge Diary" with fluent Chinese language. This diary’s focus of content was mainly about the experience of the author Roin kidnapped by the Japanese army in the second Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1597 and of three other Joseon people kidnapped in the first Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592, who came back to China together by Ming boat with Ming people’s help and then lived a life in China’s Fujian Province for four months. The content of the diary involved a lot of local situations at that time including politic, economy, culture and civic etc., its significance cannot be ignored for the study on the Ming Dynasty, especially the history of Fujian. This article is aimed at studying on Lu Ren and the content of his "Gumge Diary".This article introduces the background of the era at that time to more clearly restore Roin’s experience and environment. And also introduces Roin’s life. The introduction of the "Gumge Diary" includes its situations of versions and supplementary materials, as well as the structure of the "Gumge Diary". This part introduces Roin’s life of being a prisoner in Japan and his experience of escaping from Japan with Ming people’s help. Then this article elaborates Roin’s experience of communicating with the local people when he arrived at Fujian province in China. Finally the author studies the Academic and education in Fuzhou area by the "Gumge Diary". In this part, this article firstly highlights the particularity of Fujian province by analyzing and comparing the developmental situations of Confucianism of the country’s and the local’s in Roin’s records. Then this article pries the education situations in Fuzhou area at that time through the local situations of colleges recorded in the "Gumge Diary". At last the author analyzes Chinese people’s view of Joseon at that time through the content of communication between Roin and local scholars.
