After the Cold War,people can not see the real peace in the East Asia. In this area, there are varieties of contradiction, like those ethnic, cultural, ideological ones. So, the security dilemma can not be cure immediately. Researchers in international relations always use one special paradigm to study East Asia security, and show its merits over others. Through using these paradigms, we could get special viewpoints and basic structure, although they only show the problems in one aspect or another. They can not provide reliable ways sorely.Analytical eclecticism was put forward by Rudra Sil from University of Pennsylvania and Peter J. Katzenstein from Cornell University in 2001. They consider that the complex relationship of power, interests and identify limited any research tradition, but with selectively using them together to make them clear, that is analytical eclecticism. In detail, we use different paradigms in various fields, without considering research traditions'argument, but to analyze specific cases. In this paper, I will elaborate this viewpoint firstly, and then, analyze Japan Security and US-South Korea alliance, to show that this viewpoint has important usage in analyzing complex questions in international relation area. Through discussing the relationship between East Asia security and analytical eclecticism, the researchers can use different paradigms comprehensively, to get an overall view.
