Ge Fei was famous as a writer of avant-garde novels at his early stage. Recently, the appearance of Jiang Nan trilogy has caused a lot of attention from the literary circle, and the relevant researches are also affluent. But many elements of the fiction’s creation, including the reality context, cultural background, many other factors of the author and all the elements above taking the influence to creation have been neglected by the major of the researches. After a comprehensive investigation of the over elements, I think as an important way of writing, irony has reflected in the Jiang Nan trilogy obviously. This paper mainly tries to analyze the irony in the Ge Fei’s fictions, and then expounds the art value of Ge Fei’s fictions in a new dimensionality, and endeavor to make a contribution to the study of Ge Fei and his creations.The paper consists of six parts. The introduction part mainly introduces the condition of Ge Fei’s creation, research status and clarifies the research objective of this paper, also the research significance; The first chapter clears up the context of the irony’s development, and accomplishes to discuss the possibility of Ge Fei’s creation by irony, Through the thinking of comprehensive investigation; The second chapter is mainly to analyze the irony of Jiang Nan trilogy, basing on the elements of the irony(Including the against between surface and reality, comedy factor and aesthetics factor); The third chapter is to further probe into the aesthetic value of Ge Fei’s fictions under the using of irony; The fourth chapter devotes the energy to investigate the unique significance and value of Ge Fei’s ironic novels and Irony under the background of Chinese Contemporary Literature; The conclusion part summarizes and refines as a whole.
