In Warring States period, feudatories stood side by side, the diplomatic not only affected nations’rising and falling, but also was a effective way of competing for dominance, annexing territory and population, even dominating the world.Therefore, the feudatories of Warring States unfolded a variety of diplomatic activities, and on this basis, splendid diplomatic culture came into being, which included ideological cultural, etiquette culture, institutional culture. All these were the precious heritage of our country’s cultural history, while the studdies of the Warring States diplomatic cultural in the Academic World is weaker. Based on researching the historical literature and succeeding previous academic achievements, under the guidance of historical and cultural theory, this article firstly cards the diplomatic relationships among the major feudatory states in the Warring States period. Secondly, expounds the connotations of the diplomatic culture respectively, such as diplomatic ideology, diplomatic etiquette, diplomatic art, diplomatic strategy, diplomatic channels, diplomatic institution and so on. Finally, discusses the Warring States Diplomatic status and influence in the history and the referential significance for contemporary Chinese diplomacy, concludes the unique brand of the times that the Warring States Diplomatic Culture shew. By these ways, hope to be able to form a more comprehensive and more objective Warring States Diplomatic Culture.This article is divided into three parts, which is introduction, main body and summary.The introduction explained the reasons of researching the Warring States Diplomatic Culture, defined the time range of the Warring States period and the basic concept of "Diplomatic Culture", and reviewed the study status of the Warring States Diplomatic Cultural.The main body consists of two parts, chapter one to chapter VII for discussing the content of the Warring States Diplomatic Culture, Chapter VIII discusses the Warring States Diplomatic’s functions and features:The first chapter focuses on the diplomatic relations among the seven countries, and summarized them respectively in chronological order.The second chapter expounded the representative Warring States diplomatic thought, including the Confucian "virtue" doctrine, the Taoist "inaction" doctrine, Mohist "universal love" doctrine, Legalism "farming war" doctrine, Strategists’strategy doctrine, military commander’s "cautious war" doctrine.The third chapter introduced the Warring States diplomatic system, including diplomatic institutions and personnel composition, characteristics, and how to select the diplomatic staff and the quality diplomatic personnel required.The fourth chapter firstly discussed the change of the Warring States diplomatic etiquette, and then explained the etiquette rituals of the "ChaoJin", "HuiMeng", "PinWen", "XiangYan", "QianShi" and discoursed what influences "ChaoJin", "HuiMeng", "PinWen" had to the Warring States diplomatic relations.The fifth chapter discussed the Warring States period diplomatic language art from four aspects, which was elaborate rhetoric, flexible rhetoric, rigorous logic and summarized the characteristics of the Warring States period diplomatic language art.
